 March 15, 2025 we boarded a bus in My Tho to take us to Ho Chi Minh City where we stayed at Park Hyatt Saigon.  The name from Saigon to Ho Chi Minh city was made official in 1976 but you see "Saigon" all over the city. Arriving in the morning since our rooms were not ready we toured the city.  First stop was to visit Reunification Palace.  It was once a symbol of the South Vietnam government and home of the Republic of Vietnam's (South Vietnam) president.  April 30, 1975 communist tanks rolled into Saigon and crashed through the iron gates of the Palace.  A soldier immediately ran up to the 4th floor and unfurled the Viet Cong flag.  It is, even now, illegal for anyone to have or display a Republic of Vietnam flag.                                                   A picture of the tank crashing through t...

                                                                             Home away from home for a week  March 8, 2025 after we boarded we sailed from Kampong Cham to Wat Hanchey over night.  Sun rise pictures from Priscilla!
