Antarctica 2-6-222
This morning we arrived at Jenny Island - discovered by the French Antarctic Expedition (1908-1910).

Me in the back.
There were so many Elephant Seals on the shoreline and it was wonderful to glide along and see them fairly close up in silence. Unfortunately my phone froze up and I did not get pictures.
This is a picture of the Island from my balcony
In the afternoon we took zodiacs to Pourquoi Pas Island. It was a very rock shore with small nesting areas of Adelie Penguins.
While walking the shoreline I came upon a skeleton of an Adelie Penguin.

The icebergs around the island were loaded with Crabeater Seals
The scars on right seal are from mating season when the bull seals fight over the lady seals:)

View on port side while we dined Al fresco
Waiting for hot rock dinner! Below you see the difference in view on starboard side.

The “6 pack” at dinner - Terri, Jenny, Tom, Marybeth, Reamon, Eileen! And yes, it is windy and freezing cold outside but it was a fun night!
Dinner was “hot rocks” on top deck. You order your meat (I had tenderloin and prawns) and you cook them at you table on these incredibly hot flat stone. Delicious!!!
Beautiful night sky as we journeyed on.

I got the fabulous opportunity to kayak around the island.
