Iquitos And to the Aria - our Amazon boat

Fly from Lima to Iquitos. Now it all makes sense “one”suitcase per guest. Since I come with a lot of baggage I had 2 checked bags ; one roll on carry on and. a backpack. Lima airport was so inefficient: - one window for the included one bag; another line and window for the extra checked bag THEN all the way to the other end of terminal- another line - to pay the $45 for extra bag. Lucky Eva and Jenna from NJ also travel with lots of baggage! We became fast baggage buddies!

Iquitos means “surrounded by water.” So I guess you figured out it is an island. Iquitos is the largest city in the world unconnected to any other by roads.
We toured Iquitos by luxury vans and had lunch in the only “all metal building’ in Peru built by Gustave Eiffel
